The Battle Begins
Raze The Alarms is a trio of old friends based out of Mascoutah Illinois. Members include Rick Fagan on drums/vocals/synth/keys, Tony Timmerman on bass/vocals/rainstick, and Adam Huntley on guitar/vocals. The band, as it’s known today, was formed in 2008 after a modest initial jam session. Three musical styles came together to find unity in a new project that would create a lifelong bond between all three members.
In 2009, RTA was put on hiatus when Adam’s military commitment required him to leave the area. Years later, Tony moved to Florida and the idea of RTA getting back together was just that, an idea. 12 years had gone by and in 2021, Tony and Adam found themselves moving back to Illinois. That suspended idea came to fruition and indeed, the band got back together. With new life experiences and a reinvigorated musical purpose, they began creating new material and developing a fresh image.
The band leverages their expansive influences to add a unique touch to traditional modern rock music. It would not be out of place to hear a dubstep intro to an epic song about battle followed shortly by a blues-inspired track about loss and hope. RTA strives to be a little different to help stand out from the crowd. They may not hope to fill stadiums but rather hope to fill a listener's heart.
